The Group’s main concern is its contribution in creating a safe working environment that promotes employees’ wellness, prosperity, and professional development
World Day for Safety and Health at Work is a milestone for the overall efforts made to secure a safe working environment. This World Day was established by the United Nations on April 28th and symbolizes the need to promote an occupational health & safety culture that protects workers from work-related accidents and enhances their well-being.
Sarantis Group, through its responsible practices and policies, enhances its efforts to ensure the best working conditions. Both safety at work and the Group’s on-site employees are at the center of the Group's business activity and actively contribute to the targeting of its business choices. In this context, the Group aims by the end of 2023 to obtain ISO 45001 certification in all its active production facilities in Greece and Poland.
Empowered employees are a central pillar of the Group's sustainable development strategy, and in this spirit various actions are taken to ensure the prosperity and development of the Group's workforce. Under the auspices of the Group's Human Resources department, «wellness days» have been established, giving employees opportunities for an alternative break from their everyday work routine. Within these days, workshops are conducted with psychologists & nutritionists, alternative forms of physical exercise take place (like online yoga or step challenges), webinars for proper nutrition and mental resilience are held, actively contributing to the creation of a positive OSH culture that enhances work-life balance. Furthermore, a large investment has been made for the training of the Group's human resources through the cooperation with the LinkedIn learning platform. This collaboration aims to steadily upgrade the knowledge and upskill the Group's people in all countries of its activity, giving access to more than 9,500 webinars that will enhance the culture of lifelong learning and employee development.
At Sarantis Group, safety and physical/mental health at work as well as the evolution of its people are of great importance in its mission. The Group is committed to offer working conditions for a better and safer work environment that promotes and upskills its people.
